Got Social Anxiety? Put down the Wine and the Phone

For many, the idea of social networking events, or any event demanding small talk with strangers or acquaintances, evoke feelings of panic and dread.  And for some, the anxiety is worse than for others.  This article gives some helpful tips including mindfulness and cognitive behavioural tools to restructure certain thinking patterns to help better manage this kind of anxiety.  The message is in part however, don’t avoid the feelings at these events by drinking wine or staring at your phone.  There are better strategies!
