This is not the first time a study has confirmed the benefits of meditation for anxiety. Indeed “Mindfulness meditation” which includes but is not limited to MBSR and MBCT have proven used beneficial for people with anxiety, depression, chronic pain and even in couples therapy. While there are differing views as to how long one needs to meditate to feel the benefits, neuroscientists (and counselors) and mindfulness practitioners generally agree some is better than none in many cases.
